Danielle Laven is elated and excited to be a part of the new journey of Sequel Dance Complex. Danielle Laven originated from the Bay area in California where she trained with some of the top choreographers and master teachers of the nation. She studied under Dennis Caspary, Bruce Campbell, Chris Jacobson, Brooke Perotti, Shawnel Buitriago, Sonya Hardy, Sean Harrington, Mia Michaels and many more. While growing up in the industry she knew at a young age dance was her passion and was what she wanted to do with her life.
After her years of training she continued her career aboard the ships of Royal Caribbean where she was a lead dancer and performer in the casts of many ships. Performing nightly shows and parades throughout the cruise duration. Danielle relocated to Orange County California where she joined the Disney cast for in park and traveling performances. She loved the opportunity to be with guests and still perform and dance while being a part of a fantastic company. She had the opportunity to perform in many televised shows including but not limited to, Extreme makeover home edition, Rosebowl New Year's day parade, and the well known Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade.
After years of performing and living out her dream as a professional dancer Danielle knew it was time to share her love for dance with the younger dance community. Danielle began teaching at the well known dance studio Pacific Dance in Irvine California. Here is where she truly fell in love with teaching dance and learned from amazing and inspiring teachers. While teaching was what she loved she knew she wanted the opportunity to grow her own studio with her own values and visions. Danielle found herself at a smaller studio in Ladera Ranch, Ca where she grew the competition team from the ground up. After many years of running and directing the competition program. In 2014 Danielle and Noelle Messa took over ownership of the studio and renamed it “The Urge Dance Complex” and with that studio she has truly found what dance meant for her life. She has trained many dancers who have gone on to receive dance scholarships into performing art colleges and they have received many local and national awards for their quality of dance and technical training.
Danielle has choreographed countless numbers that have won numerous regional and national awards bringing her studio to one of the top competitive studios in southern Orange county. The year 2019 her choreography along with Noelle Messa brought them a highest scoring National title in Las Vegas. Now that Danielle and her family have relocated to Collierville she knew it was time to grow some roots in this beautiful town that she is now so excited to call home. She is anxious to start focusing her time on training dancers to find their true passion whether it be teaching, performing, or using the skills from dance to follow other dreams in life. Dance is what brings joy to Danielles life and makes her feel whole.
